Meet Dr. Joseph Sims

A Physician Who Truly Listens—and Specializes in What Others Overlook

I'm Dr. Joseph Sims, a board-certified family medicine physician with over 30 years of clinical experience. I began my medical journey at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and over the years, I've woven together the best of conventional, functional, and integrative medicine to help my patients feel their best at every stage of life.

My focus on menopause and women's midlife health is both professional and deeply personal. My wife entered early menopause at just 43 and later developed osteoporosis. Watching her struggle—not just with symptoms, but with the dismissive responses she received from the medical system—was a wake-up call. I realized that women are often underdiagnosed, undertreated, and unheard during one of the most profound transitions in their lives.

Like many women I now work with, my wife was told "this is normal"—when nothing felt normal at all.

Determined to change that narrative, I devoted myself to the study of menopause and postmenopausal care. I’m a member of The Menopause Society (formerly NAMS)—the leading authority on midlife women’s health—and I’m currently completing their rigorous Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) program.

I believe that:

  • You deserve more than a rushed visit or a one-size-fits-all solution.

  • Your symptoms are real.

  • Your quality of life matters.

Through my telemedicine practice, I provide personalized, evidence-based hormone and wellness care for women in midlife, with a blend of compassion, science, and real-world understanding. I hold medical licenses in multiple states, allowing me to care for women across the country, all from the privacy and comfort of their own homes.

I currently live in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania with my wife. We have four grown children and two grandchildren. When I’m not working with patients, I’m often reading the latest research, enjoying the company of my wife, or spending time with family. I have a particular passion for healthy eating, exercise, and all forms of wellness to extend our “healthspan”, not just our lifespan.
